We have just updated our tactical body armor section to include standard and upgraded packages for the Lighthawk XT body armor carrier with either Halo IIIA or Quantum IIIA body armor panels. We have also added the Lighthawk PC and Hardcore DM body armor carriers.

Here are some pictures we just took of our canine employee Bella, a 130 lb Bull Mastiff, decked out in an Armor Express K-9 Armor Carrier. She has been a great sport with the sizing, wearing and picture taking. We are planning on bringing her to some departments and shows in the future to showcase what a great product Armor Express makes to help protect our canine officers.

Armor Express is going to be coming out with two new vest called the Razor and the Vortex. The Razor is a little lighter and thinner than the Seraph and a little cheaper than the Halo. They are still in testing awaiting word from the NIJ, but we can’t wait to roll them out once they launch.
I’m working with Armor Express to get some more information on each vest and will keep this post updated as we do.
Following up on our earlier post about the Razor armor, Armor Express has also released the Vortex Body Armor and the ARA-Shock ICW Plates.
The Vortex is a Level IIIA armor that at only 1.12 lbs and .21″ thick, weighing 10% less than a Quantum panel and 7% less than a Halo, but can still pass a V50-.44 at 1651 ft/s with only a 37.1mm back face signature (44mm is allowed).
The Vortex, Razor and the ICW plates are all available at On Duty Gear, provided you are a First Responder or Military personnel.
