Blackhawk Gripbreak Nylon Holster at the 2013 SHOT Show

The “Grip Break” Holster from BlackHawk is a modified Yaqui style that has a thumb release that is very natural, to which we’ve become accustomed from BlackHawk.  Expected to be released at end of February along with the Epoch, and will fit the 17/22/31 first.  Next up for a fit in the Grip Break will be the 1911 series, then the S&W M&P Series.  One of the great things about this style of holster is that one fit allows it to fit virtually any barrel length, which makes your dollar go a lot farther.  I have typically been pretty reserved about the Yaqui style holsters, mainly due to security reasons, but BlackHawk is making all the right moves to get my opinion changed with the Grip Break, offering effortless security with a versatile fit.
